OUR
VALUES

We value God's love for us. Recognizing that it is without favouritism and foundational to our standing and role in God, we endeavour to model this love within and beyond the church, allowing it to shape both our attitudes and actions. [John 3:16; 13:34-35]

We value an inclusive and intergenerational Christian community where authentic, caring relationships with God and others are nurtured and deepened; a community that is united, loving and grace affirming. [Matthew 22:37-40; John 13:34-35; 17:20-23; James 5:16; 2 Peter 3:18]

We value the Holy Spirit who gives power for service and is manifested in the gifts and fruit of the Spirit operative in and beyond the church. [Acts 1:8; 2:4; I Corinthians 12-14; Galatians 5:22-23]

We value the power and intimacy of prayer, both corporate and individual, as a necessary spiritual discipline in the development of intimacy with God, the carrying out of God’s will and to the tearing down of strongholds in people [Matthew 6:9-13; John 14:12-14; 2 Corinthians 10:3-4; I Thessalonians 5:17; I Timothy 2:1]

We value authentic, God-focused worship that celebrates our identity in Christ and allows us to experience God in meditative and expressive ways. [I Chronicles 16:23-27; Psalm 29:2; 51:15-17; Hebrews 12:28; Revelation 4:10-11]

We value the word of God as God’s inspired and trustworthy rule for faith and practice and its application in Bible-centered preaching and teaching for all ages. [Acts 17:11; 2 Timothy 3:16; 4:2-4]

We value whole-hearted obedience to Jesus Christ through the transforming and empowering work of the Holy Spirit; an obedience that nurtures spiritual transformation, discipleship and growth, educates believers to discover their talents and gifts, and enables them to use them for works of service to the glory of God. [Romans 12:1-3; I Corinthians 2:10-15; Ephesians 4:7,11-12; I Thessalonians 5:19]

We value evangelism both locally and globally, and seek to intentionally bring the practical, unconditional love of Jesus to broken or fallen people, reach out to diverse people groups through personal contact, church ministries, community involvement and outreach, and systematically encourage member involvement through financial support, prayer, and short term missions teams. [Luke 15; John 3:16; I Corinthians 9:19-23, Colossians 3:23; Titus 3:4-7]
